Sol Bamba to Leeds - Imminent

As most people know, recently we have been linked with Palermo CB Sol Bamba and according to reports from today it seems the transfer is almost a done deal.

An Italian website claims that Leeds United have agreed a deal to bring Sol Bamba to Elland Road from his current club Palermo. The website also claims the deal would be initially a loan but with a view to a permanent move. If you dont trust this source Phil Hay form the YEP tweeted earlier that Sol Bamba would likely be our first signing.

The 30-year-old has previously played in England with Leicester CIty making 52 appearances. I can’t remember watching him play so I couldn’t tell you anything about him but from what I’ve read he seems to be a big powerful presence at the back.

This deal comes to a surprise to me because of Cellino failing his appeal; I initially thought this would mean no transfers but people at the club have said it’s business as usual.

  1. Has also played DM in his career. Strong tackling 6' 3 and better in the air than Bellusci. Hope he's as good as Sol Campbell!
