As Adryan had a great game against Derby County on Saturday, he showed us some glimpses of what he can do. Bad and Ugly.

Adryan seems to be growing in confidence in each new game here at Leeds and this clip certainly shows it:
And here's the dive that everybody's been talking about, I'd call it the best dive in the history of
football. It reminds me of the time I caught a Salmon and it was flapping about the river bank:
Diving of any kind deserves a red card and this is worse as he is trying to get a fellow professional sent off.He deserves a good kicking but I doubt Redfearn will have the balls to do it.Having said that I do rate the boy but he has to cut this out.
ReplyDeleteWhy does everyone call it a dive? He was fouled. Dicking about after a foul doesn't mean the guy didn't leave a foot in.

ReplyDeleteI was at the game on Saturday, I am a Rams fan for 54 years. I enjoyed a great game by both sides. To be fair the lad had a good game but had I been the ref, and I am qualified by the way, I would have at least booked him and I am asking why retrospective action can't be taken now? Interestingly the ref did lecture him afterwards, he deffinitely wasn't going to book Russel at first either.
ReplyDeleteDerby played well, but probably the worse they have played all season but still had more shots than Leeds, admittedly not on target and had 54% of possession. Leeds didn't even venture in to Derbys half until the 16th minute. On any other day and with a tiny bit more luck Derby could easily and some would say should have, scored 5. But as I said, this is the worse we have played all season which is a massive statement about how much better than Leeds United Derny County are this season.
The Adryan dive or whatever you want to call it is something that is seen to much in football these days and I don't think much Leeds fans will take to this type of behaviour. He's a good little player and I don't want to see anymore of this from him in the future.
