Addressing this weeks transfer rumours

This week there hasn't been as much rumours as previous weeks but the two players we have been strongly linked with come with almost overwhelming significance.

Matthew Upson-

Upson is a player who I have thoroughly enjoyed watching throughout the years and he would bring a bagful of experience into the centre of our defence which is exactly what we need to develop the young centre-halves at the club, especially Tom Lees. Although at 34 years of age, Matthew is coming to the end of his career, I feel that he still has a lot to offer. He would marshal our back four, demonstrate true leadership, and with his experience, especially his involvement with England during his younger years, he would play a massive part in the development of our young England prospects at the club like Sam Byram and as I have mentioned before, Tom Lees. Having Stephen Warnock to the left of him would provide the perfect balance for the defence and I feel that having a well structured defence like I have mentioned would be a great platform to build the rest of the team upon.

Tommy Rowe-

If i'm being honest, Rowe is a player that I don't know much about. I've seen him play a few times but he's never really caught my eye as being the tricky, modern day winger that we so desperately need. I have to note that with him only being 24, there are still a lot of potential in place and I fully back the judgment of McDermott when it comes to the recognition of good players.

This is the one rumour that seems to be gathering some momentum with the Transfers officer' down at Peterborough, Barry Fry, claiming we do not have enough money to buy Tommy but then stating that Rowe is pushing for a move to West-Yorkshire. I'm sure that this is just a sly tactic to increase the valuation of the player but you never know until the truth is released in the press.

Please tell me what you think in the comments section below. Thanks.

  1. You're nothing more than an immature Leeds fan trying to emmulate hammersfan. Also, some gramatical mistakes in there.
