Leeds target wants move to Elland Road

Leeds United manager, Brian McDermott has stated that the host club are unwilling to sell the signing he wants, despite this the player wants a move to Elland Road. It is rumored that the player is Bolton centre-back Matt Mills, but surely Bolton would sell? This seems to be the target that the Leeds boss has been chasing for quite some time now as he is looking to strengthen United's defence.

The centre of our defence is one of the areas that needs improvement as we only have Tom Lees and Jason Pearce. We also have young Ross Killock, but it seems that McDermott has no plans for him. Right-back Lee Peltier played most of his games at the heart of United's defence last season but at the moment it looks like he will be playing in his preferred right-back position as Sam Byram is currently having problems with his hip, we will find out next week if he needs an operation.

The United boss has also announced that there has been progress made on bringing a separate target to the club. So it looks as if we will be working hard on bringing these targets in on the final month of the transfer window, lets hope Brian and GFH wave the magic wand and get these targets wrapped up so we can crack on with the season!
