Can we take that extra step forward?

Leeds United boss Brian McDermott voiced his opinion after our away defeat to Huddersfield a couple of weeks back saying, "it feels like we are taking one step forward and one step back" and it couldn't of been put much better by the United boss.

Our recent form in the league shows that we lack consistency, you just have to look at our recent results, it's been a win, lose, win, lose situation. Our home form has been quite good, especially our 4-0 thrashing of Birmingham in one of the best team performances I've seen in recent years but then the following week we go and get beat by an average Huddersfield side, putting the 'one step forward and one step back' in perfect example.

As you all know you need consistency to get out of this league and it's something we don't have at the moment. All we need to do is sort our away form out and we all know we are capable playing away as we've seen at the start of the season with our performances against the likes of, Leicester, Ipswich and Bolton coming away with 5 points from 9 and as we all know these are very tough places to go.

Our last result in the league was a 2-0 victory against Yeovil with a great second half performance from Rudy Austin who set up both goals for Ross McCormack. This is another step forward but with our next fixture away to Charlton will we take another step forward or a usual step back again?
