Leeds United had an influx of players in the summer but one of the signings that has impressed me the most is Souleymane Doukara. Doukara who arrived from Catania on a season-long loan was then further signed permanently for a fee in the region of £500,000 on a 3 year deal. Like all of us I knew nothing about him nor heard about him.
Out of all the players we signed in the summer most of us thought Billy Sharp would be the man replacing McCormack's boots, but at the moment he's been kept out of the starting 11 by the impressive partnership of Antenucci and Doukara. What impresses me the most about Doukara is his pace and power this is something that we have been missing for a number of years, he's also comfortable with the ball at his feet and beating players. Another thing that has impressed me is his finishing, this we have seen in the games against Bournemouth and Huddersfield.
Excluding his first game against Millwall, Doukara has fitted in and adapted to the Championship no problem but I suppose his physique and style of play suits this league. Another thing to mention is he's only 23 which is a relatively young age in football and this means he can hopefully only get better.
We have an exciting crop of players this season. Nicola Salerno deserves a lot of credit for bringing these players to the club and I think it's key that we keep Salerno around.
agree with you ,Antenucci ,Bianchi and Bellusci all quality after poor starts
