Leeds to sign Scott Wootton

It has been reported tonight that 21 year-old Scott Wootton will sign for Leeds United on Tuesday as he was left out of the reserve side and ends his stay at Man Utd. Wootton has been with Man Utd for quite some time now and his highest point with the club was an appearance in the League Cup semi-final against Chelsea last season. He was also loaned out to Peterborough United recently.

It seems that Man Utd boss David Moyes will allow Scott Wootton to go because he has so many defenders at a similar stage. Leeds were linked with Wootton a while back but the rumour never really gathered any pace. Also stated tonight was that, Leeds will only pay a nominal fee up front, with cash to change hands after appearances and if he is sold on.

On other news, Leeds United favourite El-Hadji Diouf has said he is happy at the club after being linked with a move away. Diouf stated, "I don't know where all the talk about me leaving has come from. I'm happy here because the fans have always shown me a lot of love and it's a great club."

  1. Actually feller, his biggest game was in the pre-season friendly v Barcelona. Gonna miss Wootton if this pans out, great talent, you got a good defender here.

    1. Is a friendly really ever a big game? Even though it was against barca, its hardly as big of a stage than chelsea in a cup semi final! Lol, typical scum fan you are

  2. His biggest competitive game was against Chelski though, as it determined whether the scum got into the final or not. On the day they just weren't good enough, it's a shame.
